Mouseover (or click) the link for the credits, it’s a killer cast. Because who wouldn’t? [video from Free Radio on VH1] An unintentional (I hope) visual double-entendre makes this spot for the Super-Soaker-branded Oozinator cringingly funny. Yes, the ad came out in 2006, but I completely missed it then, and it’s still unbelievable this passed Hasbro QA. A couple of cut edits and this could be euro-porn. Wow. Just, wow. Duhn-duhn-duhhhhhhhhhhhh! A group called the National Organization for Marriage (NOM? They know about the internet meme they’re conflating, right?) has an unintentionally hilarious ad out whining about not being able to discriminate as they please. It’s not quite as funny as a Glenn Beck rant, but good for quite a few laughs. HRC has a [...] Guess where I was today? Since I’m posting so much about my auditions lately, this Mr. Show sketch has been foremost in my mind. The setting is perfect, except the director/producer usually has a camera pointed at the actor so they can watch it again later. Jonathan Jarvis, who studies Media Design at Art Center in Pasadena, created a video to break down the credit crisis for the layman (via Chexy). Also, last week’s This American Life was another fantastic show on the banking system and why things seem to be still melting down. Most basically, banks need to hang onto [...] Bishop Allen is currently making me very happy. I didn’t find any videos for the new album, but this one’s brilliant, and not far from the new stuff, stylistically. Pitchfork didn’t think much of the album it’s on (not enough gloom?), but fuck them. Well, I don’t hate all of them, but I agree with enough of Julian Smith’s hates that it cracked me up.
