We took a quick drive up to Henderson, ostensibly to visit my parents, but a big motivation to go was to visit the dog, who was taken by my mom the last time she came through L.A. It’s more than a little disheartening to think that she likes being with my parents more than being [...] So I did a short film earlier this year, an all-volunteer cast & crew, to protest the passage of Proposition 8 here in California, which bans same sex marriage in favor of opposite marriage. The Supreme Court just ruled it constitutional, and the finished PSA was uploaded just after the decision. Click the video [...] We were scheduled to leave Tuesday morning after getting a good night’s sleep before we headed out to my parents’ place in Henderson, NV, but said, “screw it.” A quick check of the iPhone showed traffic was light, there were no reports of the 15 being closed, and I just wanted to get the driving [...] |
