I was checking my iPhone a lot in the dream, since email kept coming in and pinging me. Ashton Kutcher was around, for some reason, and a bit of a motivational maven, a low-grade Tony Robbins. I was in a big bedroom, I don’t know whose, but possibly it was Demi’s. Ashton grabbed my phone [...]
Micky’s bar burned down over a year ago. This month, the newly renovated Micky’s reopened. Lots of frosted glass and steel, along with the requisite colored accent lighting, filled the place. I went with Dennis, along with Chelsea & Alistair, who had just moved into their new place in the Hollywood Hills. We just went [...]
Another 24 night, though I was a bit wary after last week’s plot developments. 24 will have to work pretty hard to pull off a satisfying ending this season, if you ask me. The main story was mostly resolved, and this new twist feels tacked on. But it’s still fun to watch Kiefer Sutherland do [...]
“Zefron, 3 Million, that’s all I need!” Zac Efron’s Pool Party from Zac Efron Zac doesn’t take himself too seriously, which just makes him all the more charming. Mouseover (or click) the link for the credits, it’s a killer cast.
At least for me, it did, and I couldn’t get in to edit anything for a bit. I called customer service, but was locked up in voice mail hell, so I probably wasn’t the only one. It made me a bit paranoid, so I deleted all the internal “subscribers” that had registered through this site. [...]
We took Moxie to the Silver Lake dog park on Saturday to relieve some of her pent-up energy. There was a lot to be released. She did the usual routine of tearing around the place, trying to meet all the dogs at once, being so anxious to play and run that she irritated a few, [...]
Congressman Sherman (D-CA) was on CNBC to talk about the plan to tax AIG bonuses. He destroyed the weak attempts to paint him (and others in Congress) as anti-capitalist, and demonstrated, as did Jon Stewart with Jim Cramer, why CNBC is out of line to even attempt to defend its lack of reporting integrity.
It was Sunday, two days early, but I suppose the organizers knew the turnout would be nothing if they proposed to lead a drunken crowd through West Hollywood on Tuesday. Don’t ask me how, but despite an E-Vite and my iPhone both listing the start time as 2:00pm, I was sure it started at 3:00. [...]
I broke down this year and decided to give 24 another shot, since everyone and his brother was telling me how great it was this season. Actually, it was my brother, who’s a die hard fan who even plowed through the dross of last season. He’s a stoic, my brother. But Dennis made it an [...]
I watched a clip of Jimmy Fallon’s “reality show” sketch from his talk show, and gagged. Not because it wasn’t funny, but because the white gym shoes he wore with his dark suit were disgusting. Why are you guys doing this? Why?! No! Bad Jimmy Fallon! Bad! Jesse McCartney? You look silly. Justin Timberlake? Stop [...]
