The New York Times has an article discussing the rebranding of several corporations, notably Wal-Mart. I’m not against a redesign of any brand, provided the company has something new to offer (viz, BP). But what is Wal-Mart trying to say with their new logo (arrows are mine)? I mean, what the hell is that [...] We took a quick drive up to Henderson, ostensibly to visit my parents, but a big motivation to go was to visit the dog, who was taken by my mom the last time she came through L.A. It’s more than a little disheartening to think that she likes being with my parents more than being [...] So I did a short film earlier this year, an all-volunteer cast & crew, to protest the passage of Proposition 8 here in California, which bans same sex marriage in favor of opposite marriage. The Supreme Court just ruled it constitutional, and the finished PSA was uploaded just after the decision. Click the video [...] Pardon the weirdness here, I’m reconfiguring. Things are going to be messy for a minute. This is genius. This is a reason to have a wedding, just to be able to do the video.
