I was watching the PBS arts show “EGG” recently and noticed that they blurred women’s nipples and butt cracks in live action and photographs, but not in paintings. It’s inconsistent, however, and occasionally they’ll leave old photos alone, or allow nipples to show through wet cloth. What is wrong with us? How is anyone harmed by simply seeing naked humans? I was baffled by this attitude at seven years old, and I’m still baffled. No child in the history of the world was ever harmed by just seeing a naked person. Let’s grow up.
