This piece is circa 1996, and was intended to be a promotional item for the book. The white ‘X’s are for overlaid panels showing the progression of drawing skill over the years. I can’t remember if I intended for two of them to be Adam’s work or not, but I did include the crown and butterfly from his storyline, so it would stand to reason.
It was the last inked drawing I ever did for Greymatter and the first time I inked O’Shea with a brush.
UPDATE: I do remember now–I was going to put panels of O’Shea’s progress from crude, scratchy beginnings to loosely-brushed consistency. Funny that didn’t come to mind. 15-JAN-2005
